Sacred Light and Infernal Fire -- Tomasz Kamieniak Recital in Taiwan

Polish pianist Tomasz Kamieniak's 2026 Taiwan Concert, also his third visit to Taiwan, begins with Liszt's spiritual journey, focusing on the period when Liszt transitioned from virtuoso virtuosity to spiritual pursuit. In addition to arrangements, the concert will feature Liszt's "Deux légendes S.175". The second part is Alkan's extremely challenging "Piano Concerto, op.39" exploring Alkan's inner symphonic universe—not only a microcosm of 19th-century music but also prompting reflection on how music carries multiple roles for the individual, faith, and society. With his profound scholarly approach, Tomasz Kamieniak presents this concert as another sincere sharing with Taiwanese music lovers.
