Lutosławski for Children

In May, all the birds sing about spring, but none more beautifully than the nightingale. Yet from one nest high in an acacia tree, instead of birdsong, all we can hear is complaining... It’s Mrs Nightingale, who can hardly wait for her husband's return. Do you know this song? If not, be sure to come to the concert! We’ll hear wonderful pieces by Witold Lutosławski, written especially for children who love music. The world of birds, animals, vegetables and other amusing characters will provide the backdrop to a concert during which we'll discover what a cluster is, what ad libitum and aleatoricism mean, and how the composer created his music.
