About
At the beginning of this program, a quote from Clara Schumann was presented: 'I once believed I had creative talent, but I gave up the idea. A woman should not strive to compose – none has ever been able to do so. Should I perhaps assume that I am the one who could?' The soprano Lisa Larsson, through her Rolf Martinsson-instrumented Hommage to the composer, demonstrates that she indeed could. For this performance, there are songs by Zemlinsky, an ensemble named after him, and a string quartet by Robert Schumann, which Clara Schumann described as 'enchanting in every detail'.
