Paavo Järvi with Mahler

We proceed with our Mahler cycle: Recordings of Symphonies No. 1, 5 and 7 have already been released by the label Alpha, Symphony No. 2 and the Adagio of the unfinished No. 10 have also been recorded – now Paavo Järvi and Mahler's Orchestra are preparing for Symphony No. 6. 'No work has flowed so directly from his heart', said Alma Mahler, the composer's wife, about it. Known as 'The Tragic', the symphony is 'his most personal'.
