Sibelius 3 with the BBC Concert Orchestra

Northern lights, Hampstead views and Scottish dances: conductor Anna-Maria Helsing journeys through Sibelius, Malcolm Arnold and Jimmy López’ epic landscapes. As summer arrives, there’s a special magic in the northern skies. Spirits lift, the heavens clear and the midnight sun transforms the twilight hours into a world of fantasy – and fun. Coming from Finland, the BBC Concert Orchestra’s chief conductor Anna-Maria Helsing knows all about that, and tonight she whirls us through the epic landscapes of Sibelius’ Third Symphony.
