About
Led by conductor Thomas Wilkins, this Chineke! Orchestra concert featuring pianist Michelle Cann explores identity and influence in music shaped by the US. Antonín Dvořák’s American Suite draws inspiration from his years in the US, blending Bohemian lyricism with the rhythms and spirit of his adopted home. Written during one of the composer’s most creative periods, the suite evokes open landscapes, folk traditions and an unmistakable sense of optimism.
