About
The rising star pianist joins the London Philharmonic Orchestra for Beethoven’s First Piano Concerto, ahead of the raw emotion of Tchaikovsky’s Sixth Symphony. The Sixth Symphony is a no-holds-barred autobiography, told in some of orchestral music’s greatest melodies. Opening the performance, Unsuk Chin’s personal tribute to Beethoven is a brilliant upbeat to the First Piano Concerto by the man himself, and with the remarkable Lukas Sternath as soloist, music doesn’t get much more joyful.
