About
Concert featuring the greatest hits from Frank Sinatra's repertoire. In new, original arrangements, we will hear such well-known standards as: "My Way," "Lady is a Trump," "New York," "Fly Me to the Moon," "Moon River," "Come Fly With Me," and many others. The concert will also feature instrumental versions of the program, showcasing the full sound and capabilities of the big band. We can look forward to an evening dedicated to music that, despite the passage of decades, continues to delight with its elegance, swing, and timeless charm. The Chopin University Big Band is made up of outstanding musicians, winners of prestigious national and international competitions, and artists who have achieved success as solo performers on concerts around the world. The group was formed in 2006 at the initiative of students and the administration of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, and quickly became one of the most recognizable big bands in Poland. Their mission is to present a diverse repertoire at the highest international level, and they invite renowned soloists to collaborate. CUBB has gained a large and enthusiastic fan base both in Poland and abroad. The special guest of the concert will be Wojciech Myrczek – one of the most respected Polish jazz vocalists, known for his exceptional interpretative freedom, excellent vocal technique, and ability to find his own voice in the classic repertoire. In his performance, Sinatra's songs will be reinterpreted in dialogue with the energy and color of the modern big band.
