About
Still’s "Autochthonous" Symphony No. 4, a radiantly lyrical tribute to those who have triumphed over a difficult past, honors the optimism and dreams of hope in the American people. Copland’s Lincoln Portrait highlights the character and thoughts of the 16th president through music woven with selections from his celebrated writings. A new work by Portland musician, writer, and storyteller Gabriel Kahane completes this program of modern Americana.
