Requiem

A ballet premiere directed and choreographed by Jacek Tyski, with music by W. A. Mozart. The Requiem in D minor is one of the greatest sacred works, and also Mozart's final, unfinished composition. The work was completed by the composer's friend, Joseph Eybler, and his student, Franz Xaver Süssmayr. The work is deeply rooted in Christian tradition and will be presented through the language of dance. This unique ballet performance, along with the outstanding performance of the Solists and Chorus of the Krakow Opera, will serve as a prelude to reflection on life and death, and the story told through dance and music will lead us to a state of contemplation and reflection.
