Thibaudet Performs Liszt

Jean-Yves Thibaudet, referred to as a superb pianist by The New York Times, will join Rafael Payare and the Orchestra for Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 2. The tender opening of the piece provides an introverted backdrop, while the solo piano takes on an extroverted role, culminating in a fiery finale. Bruckner's final symphony, which remains unfinished at his death, explores the boundaries of 19th-century harmony and showcases tremendous emotional power.
