About
Organizer: "Nutty Quartet"
Sponsor: Taipei City Government Culture Bureau, Shanghai Commercial Bank Educational Fund
The group's name, "Nutty Quartet," is a pun on "Dr. Nut," and all members are Taiwanese musicians with doctorates in instrumental performance. They represent the elite group of musicians cultivated by Taiwanese music education.
The group was founded in 2011 with the name "Nutty Quartet," based on the idea of a "heartfelt chamber music collection." They have since held regular public performances every year. In early 2014, the group officially changed its name to "Nutty Quartet" and was registered as a performing arts group in Taipei City, with the aim of uniting more locally-trained musicians and working together to share their knowledge and skills.
