About
The concert, titled "Roots," was conceived and performed by the twin ensemble, returning to the purest form of percussion duo. The program features a selection of pieces with diverse styles and cultural backgrounds, spanning contemporary Nordic compositions, classical arrangements, important works from the 20th century, and reinterpretations of cross-cultural and local sounds. Within the tight ensemble format, the program explores the depth of dialogue between rhythm, timbre, and structure, showcasing the rich and multifaceted vocabulary of contemporary percussion. Bach's "Brandenburg Concerto No. 2" - Movement V, "Breve I & II" - originates from a Baroque concerto.
