About
"Le Carnaval Baroque" has been performed in over one hundred shows in various countries. The show recreates a carnival day in 17th-century Venice, combining music, opera, theater, and circus. In the streets and canals, characters from Commedia dell'Arte, singers, actors, and acrobats participate in a series of parties, songs, dances, games, and chases. The Baroque vocal and instrumental repertoire is thus integrated with various forms of popular entertainment of the time, in a stage presentation that recreates the festive and rebellious atmosphere of the Venetian carnival.
