About
Myths and legends are often the origin of fairy tale narratives, and thus this evening brings together fascinating figures from Russian folklore – from eerie poltergeists and witches to the struggle of the princes against evil. The sound-powerful, colorful world of music culminates in the famous ballet music to The Firebird. The freedom-loving and people-friendly fairy – the Firebird – leads the lovers Zarewna and Zarewitsch out of the power of the evil sorcerer Kastchej. As is typical in a fairy tale, good ultimately triumphs over evil.
