Sagenhaft

SAGENHAFT! Founded in 2016, the Leipzig Concert Choir looks back on ten years full of music, community, travels, and unforgettable concert experiences. We are celebrating this anniversary with a special concert at the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig – and we warmly invite you to be part of this evening! Four choral symphonic works transport us into a mythical sound world. Rarely heard compositions by Gade, Brahms, Mendelssohn and Fanny Hensel combine romantic natural imagery, mythological god worlds and existential questions of human existence. Dreams and reality, hope and fate stand in opposition – who can still say where reality ends and legend begins? All composers share a close connection to Leipzig. The concert is under the patronage of Alexander Dierks, President of the Saxon State Parliament.
