20_14 Assembly

Experience Clarissa Connelly, Mija Milovic, Henriette Motzfeldt, Cæcilie Trier, and Rune Kielsgaard in 20_14 Assembly – a constantly evolving ensemble of musicians brought together by 20_14's open approach to music and live performances. 20_14 Assembly operates on a non-hierarchical model, without fixed roles or a central leader. The musicians freely move between different musical positions and expressions, allowing the musical direction to emerge in the moment. 20_14 Assembly originated from the music platform 20_14, founded in 2021 by drummer, producer, and curator Rune Kielsgaard. 20_14 aims to dismantle traditional musical hierarchies, create contrasts, and provide space for new perspectives. The music arises from the interplay between the musicians' different starting points and what emerges in the moment. This quintet has already demonstrated this approach on the album 20_14 quintet 1 (2024), recorded live at Mayhem in Copenhagen. Clarissa Connelly is a Danish-Scottish composer and singer. With a unique blend of Celtic folk music and experimental pop, she has gained international recognition. She studied singing and vocal development with Meredith Monk in New York. She received the Nordic Music Prize in 2021. Mija Milovic is a Danish-Montenegrin composer, musician, and producer based in Copenhagen. Her musical practice is based on improvisation and alternative ways of creating music. She has released several works under her own name and is also a member of the rock bands SLIM0 and Kvindebandet.
