Batiashvili, Capuçon & Thibaudet in Recital

Three world-class soloists — violinist Lisa Batiashvili, cellist Gautier Capuçon, and pianist Jean Yves Thibaudet — join forces to explore the expressive possibilities of the piano trio. Pieces by Shostakovich and Debussy radiate youthful optimism and hint at the composers’ budding musicality. Capping the program is Dvořák’s Third Piano Trio, a darker, more mature work that showcases the composer at the height of his talents.
