Witness the Carnegie Hall debut of BBC New Generation Artist and International Tchaikovsky Competition “Audience Favorite” Santiago Cañón-Valencia, described as a “virtuoso of outstanding versatility and technical ease” (The Violin Channel). He is joined by pianist Victor Santiago Asuncion in performing each of the singular cello sonatas written by Debussy, Ginastera, and Shostakovich. The program also features an exhilarating, original solo work in its New York premiere and Arvo Pärt’s iconic Fratres, which Cañón-Valencia released as his debut single on Deutsche Grammophon.
