Richard Atkins presents a solo piano program in which melody serves as a form of visual narrative. Spanning a wide-ranging repertoire from Chopin to Gershwin, the performance draws inspiration from cinematic fare and delves into Atkins’ own story-driven compositions. His original works emphasize atmosphere and imagery, translating diverse musical influences into vivid, wordless narratives.A portion of net proceeds benefits Education Through Music (ETM), supporting music programs in under-resourced New York City schools.
