Berliner Philharmoniker

Víkingur Ólafsson steps in for the injured Daniil Trifonov alongside the Berliner Philharmoniker, which The New York Times declared "the best in the business" when it last performed at Carnegie Hall. Together, they perform Brahms's passionate Piano Concerto No. 1, an exquisite showpiece for both soloist and ensemble, followed by an orchestral performance of Richard Strauss's soaring tone poem Also sprach Zarathustra, most popularly associated with Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey.
