Also featured is Shostakovich: Symphony No. 6 in B Minor, Op. 5.* **Guo Yong Zhang:** A renowned Chinese conductor and music educator. He graduated from the Conducting Department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 1983. He received his doctorate in music from the Moscow Conservatory of Music named after Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in 1997. He has studied under prominent Chinese conductors and music educators, including Professor Huang Xiaotong and Maestro Rodion Kreitser. He currently holds positions as a professor at Shanghai Conservatory of Music, music director of the Qingdao Symphony Orchestra, music director of the Guiyang Symphony Orchestra, and general manager of the Xi'an Symphony Orchestra. He has also served as the music director of the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, the director and artistic director of the Shanghai Theatre, and a vice-president of the China Musicians Association. He is also a vice-president of the Shanghai Musicians Association and a member of the "Four Groups" talent pool of the Ministry of Culture, and a key figure recognized by the State Council. Throughout his extensive career, he has collaborated with both domestic and international renowned opera houses and symphony orchestras to perform a wide range of classic works, including operas, ballets, and symphonic choral works.
