Royal Theatre
The Royal Theatre, opened in 1913 in downtown Victoria, British Columbia, is the city's principal performing-arts house. Managed by the Royal & McPherson Theatres Society, it is home to the Victoria Symphony and Pacific Opera Victoria.
Vancouver Symphony Orchestra
Founded in 1919, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra is the largest performing arts organisation in Western Canada. Its main season is presented at the historic Orpheum theatre in downtown Vancouver, spanning classical, pops and family programmes.
Roy Thomson Hall
Opened in 1982 in downtown Toronto, Roy Thomson Hall is the home of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and one of the city's premier concert venues. Beyond the resident orchestra it presents leading recitalists and touring classical and film-and-game symphonic programmes.
Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra
Founded in 1931, the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra is Saskatchewan's professional orchestra, performing mainly at the Sid Buckwold Theatre in TCU Place. Its season spans masterworks, choral concerts at the city's churches, pops and film-with-orchestra programmes.
Orchestre symphonique de Québec
Founded in 1902, the Orchestre symphonique de Québec is Canada's oldest orchestra. It performs at the Salle Louis-Fréchette of the Grand Théâtre de Québec, with a season spanning the symphonic masterworks, soloist concertos and film-with-orchestra programmes.
Place des Arts
Place des Arts is the largest performing-arts complex in Canada, at the heart of Montréal's Quartier des Spectacles. Beyond its resident companies, it presents a wide classical programme — the Orchestre Métropolitain, Les Violons du Roy, chamber and baroque ensembles and film-with-orchestra concerts across the Maison symphonique, Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier and smaller halls.
